A Practice Built Around Families
Rak Reuan was founded on the belief that people facing difficult family situations deserve steady, thoughtful legal support — not haste, and not pressure.
Back to HomeHow Rak Reuan Came to Be
Rak Reuan — which translates roughly as "caring for the home" — was established in Bangkok to fill a quiet gap in the market: family legal services that feel as considerate as they are competent. Our founding team had worked across larger commercial firms and observed, repeatedly, that clients dealing with personal family matters often needed something different from the fast-paced, transactional approach those firms offered.
We set up our practice on Charoen Nakhon Road with a simple intention: to handle each case as though the person sitting across from us were a member of our own family. That means listening first, explaining clearly, and moving only as quickly as the client is comfortable with.
Over time, that approach has earned us the trust of families from across Bangkok and beyond — including both Thai nationals and expatriates navigating Thai family law for the first time. Our team speaks English and Thai, and we take care to ensure that language is never a barrier to understanding your own legal situation.
Our Vision
A Bangkok where every family, regardless of background, can access thoughtful and clear legal guidance during difficult times.
Our Mission
To support families through legal processes with patience, plain language, and a genuine concern for the wellbeing of everyone involved.
Our Values
Discretion, calm, clarity, fairness — these are not just words we use in our brochures. They shape how every conversation in this office unfolds.
The People Behind Rak Reuan
Our small team was assembled because each person brings both professional experience and personal empathy to family legal work.
Nattaporn Prasert
Senior Family Law Adviser
Nattaporn has practised family law in Bangkok for over twelve years, with particular experience in divorce procedures and child custody under Thai law. She is known for her patient manner and clear, accessible explanations.
Krit Wongsakul
Legal Adviser – Agreements & Documentation
Krit specialises in drafting family agreements — prenuptial arrangements, co-parenting plans, and property settlements. He takes pride in producing documents that are fair, complete, and written in language both parties can truly understand.
Siriporn Phanit
Client Relations & Case Coordination
Siriporn is often the first voice clients hear when they contact us. She coordinates appointments, manages ongoing case communication, and ensures that no one ever feels left without an update or an answer.
How We Maintain Our Standards
Every family matter we handle is governed by clear internal standards — not just to protect our clients, but because doing the work well matters to us.
Registered with the Thai Bar
Our legal advisers hold current registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand, meeting all professional competence and conduct requirements.
Personal Data Protection
We follow Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in how we collect, store, and use client information. Clients may request details of their data at any time.
Documented Client Agreements
Before any work begins, we provide a written engagement letter setting out scope, fees, and mutual expectations — so there are no misunderstandings later.
Ongoing Professional Development
Our team attends regular training and legal updates to stay current with changes in Thai family law and procedural practice.
Regular Client Check-ins
We schedule regular updates with clients throughout their case so they always know where things stand — no unexplained silences, no chasing for news.
Internal Review Process
All documents and advice notes are reviewed by a second member of the team before being shared with clients, to catch errors and maintain quality.
Family Legal Services in Bangkok — Handled with Care
Bangkok is home to a large and diverse community of families — Thai, expatriate, and mixed — each navigating their own circumstances under Thai law. Family legal matters here can involve processes that feel unfamiliar, paperwork in a second language, or proceedings that move at an unpredictable pace. Having a legal adviser who understands both the law and the human side of these situations makes a noticeable difference.
At Rak Reuan, our practice covers the range of matters that commonly arise within families: marital agreements, dissolution proceedings, arrangements for children, and the formalisation of shared understandings between parties who wish to part respectfully. We work in English and Thai, and our office on Charoen Nakhon Road is accessible by BTS and ferry — a deliberate choice to make visiting us as easy as possible.
We believe that good family legal work is not about moving fastest or arguing hardest. It is about helping people understand their position clearly, reach fair arrangements, and move forward with their lives. That has been our approach from the beginning, and it remains the reason families return to us and recommend us to others.
